HVWCO - The Story
The inspired subsidiary of The Village Watch Maker, NY
Nestled somewhere between the Berkshire Mountains and the Hudson River, deep in the scenic Hudson Valley, is the small cottage industry the Village Watch Maker. Owner Stephen Hammersley always knew he wanted to become a watch-maker, telling his mother so on a scenic drive through central New Hampshire one day at age four.

The years passed, and Steve fondly remembers climbing the stairs of the Town clock with his grandfather to wind and maintain the large tower-clock. Those moments were the beginnings of a dream realized. With skills handed on to him from his grandfather, and tools from his great-grandfather, Stephen continues a mechanical tradition that has been in his family for generations. We introduce the Village Watch Maker of the Hudson Valley, NY.

The Hudson Valley Watch Company is the latest iteration of Stephen's watchmaking career. The company has the goal to produce traditionally manufactured, bespoke time-pieces. HVWCO carries with it the skill set of the generations of machinists that raised its Founder, and so continues to be ready for the care of any cherished time-piece, no matter the vintage or exclusivity.

While HWVCO is not a registered affiliate with these brands, the team has the skills and parts-acquisition prowess to completely deconstruct, service and restore your heirloom time-pieces for which parts no longer exist!
These include: Omega, Rolex, Patek Philippe, Bovet, Girard Perregaux, Elgin and more. ​

The parent company, The Village Watchmaker, is in possession of a fully functioning machinist workshop to care for even the most technical of restorations.
